National Debate Tournament

The Youth International Center Burgas is organizing a national weekend debate tournament in collaboration with the Debate Association Bulgaria.
Date: September 28th and 29th, 2024 (Saturday and Sunday)
Teams of three are invited to participate.
The debates will follow the World Schools format and will be conducted in Bulgarian. Participants will have the opportunity to debate on pre-prepared topics as well as on impromptu topics, which teams will prepare for on-site within a short time frame. Approved participants will receive the topics later, but with enough preparation time.
The tournament is national, meaning participants can come not only from Burgas but from across the country. For national participants, accommodation and meals will be provided at the Youth International Center – Burgas for the duration of the tournament. Transportation costs will not be covered.
Registration Deadline: August 30th (Friday) or until all spots are filled.
The debates are aimed at high school students in both lower and upper grades.
