We celebrated Youth Day with a rich festive program

We marked the International Youth Day with a diverse program that celebrated the talent, creativity, and energy of young people.

We began with a fruitful conference on the topic “Youth – Driving the Future: Participation Today, Impact Tomorrow”, where we addressed the role of informal youth groups, youth participation in local governance, as well as funding programs for youth initiatives such as Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps.

Young people expressed their desire to actively engage in public life, to bring their ideas to life, and to work for a better future, while our colleague Nikola Zhivkov served as moderator of the event.

During the conference, greetings to the youth were delivered by Tania Mihailova, Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Education and Science; Petar Mladenov, Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Youth and Sports; Vladimir Yordanov, Deputy Executive Director of the HRDC; Maria Salabasheva, Director of the “International Youth Cultural Center” municipal program; and Ahmed Kuytov, Head of the National Focal Point.

The next day, we traveled all the way to St. Anastasia Island, where we held creative outdoor activities. Afterwards, we had fun at the North Beach in Burgas with relay games on the sand and activities organized by Youth Center – Gabrovo, Youth Center – Plovdiv, and the International Youth Center – Burgas.

The inspiring autobiographical performance by Deyan Slavchev – Deo, and the final musical act by the talented Dara Ekimova, brought the celebration to a memorable close.
