International Youth Day

International Youth Day – August 12 – will be celebrated in Burgas with a two-day program including a conference and a youth village with cultural and sports activities.
Day One – August 11 – will begin with a conference at 2:30 PM at the International Youth Center – Burgas. The event will include three thematic panels.
The first panel will focus on civic engagement of young people in public life. Topics will include forms of youth participation in local governance, national and European policies promoting engagement, best practices from various municipalities, and more.
The second panel will highlight national and European funding programs for youth initiatives. Key topics will be the Erasmus+ program and the European Solidarity Corps, and the work of the Directorate for Youth Policies will also be presented.
The third panel will showcase the activities and initiatives of the National Focal Point.
Day Two – August 12 – will start at 5:00 PM in the Sea Garden (next to the Surf School), where the official opening of Youth Day will take place. Representatives from the International Youth Center (IYC), the Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), the National Focal Point (NFP), and the National Student Council Union (NSCU) will deliver welcome addresses to the young participants.
Following the opening, various activities organized by youth centers will take place, along with relay games on the beach.
At 7:30 PM, the autobiographical stand-up show “How Did We Get Here” by Deyan Slavchev – Deo will begin, and from 10:00 PM, the evening will continue with a party featuring a live performance and a DJ.
