“International Youth Center – Burgas” is a socially engaged project that resonates with the pulse of modern challenges. Since March 14, every day (including the weekends), our team members are volunteering at the city’s Crisis Center, where humanitarian and administrative assistance is provided to Ukrainian refugees on a daily basis.
One of our main goals is to work towards inclusion and support of vulnerable groups. Due to the current situation in Ukraine, Ukrainian citizens in Bulgaria (particularly those in Burgas) are among our priorities.
In April we are launching Bulgarian language courses for children and young people, as well as psychological counseling for those in need. A survey available in Ukrainian, Russian and English is also published on IYC’s website and social networks.
The survey will give us a clue in which direction to focus our attention in order to offer more adequate solutions for Ukrainian citizens in Burgas.
