City of Poets: Marina Arnaudova launched a new series of meetings at the International Youth Center – Burgas

YIC Burgas launched its new series “City of Poets” – meetings dedicated to Burgas creators and to fostering direct, lively contact between them and local young people. The first event in the series took place on November 12, with Marina Arnaudova as the guest of the evening – one of the young poets in contemporary Bulgarian literature.

Marina presented her debut poetry collection, “Raising Fears,” and spoke about her path to writing, the themes that move her, and her connection to the city. The meeting unfolded as an informal conversation in which the young participants asked questions and shared what inspires them and how they themselves navigate the world of creativity.

Instead of a formal discussion, the meeting developed into a relaxed and friendly talk. The conversation naturally touched on themes of courage, the role of fear as a driving force for creativity, and the connection between the city and its poets.

YIC Burgas is planning more events featuring local poets and artists as part of the “City of Poets” series, giving young people the chance to meet them and encouraging them along their own creative path.
