Sungurlare is the next municipality in the Burgas region that we visited in line with our Regional visits. This happened the day before students in the Burgas district were sent home for a flu vacation.
We visited “Hristo Botev” elementary school in Lozarevo and “Hristo Botev” secondary school in the town of Sungurlare.
Students from both schools learned what is our mission here in the Youth International Center, what our activities have been so far and what they can be involved in in the future. The team involved the youth in several interesting activities, with the aim of getting to know each other and work on their teamwork skills.
During the visit in Sungurlare, we had a meeting with Mrs. Elena Bancheva – director of the “Hristo Botev” elementary school – Lozarevo village, Nikolay Rusev – director of the “Hristo Botev” secondary school – the city of Sungurlare, Antoineta Alexieva – chief expert ” Education” to the municipality of Sungurlare, as well as with the most successful Bulgarian marathoner Shaban Mustafa, who is the chief sports expert in the municipality.
In the process of the conversation, we came up with an idea for an upcoming event between the Youth centre and the Sungurlare Municipality, which we will keep secret for the time being.
Sungurlare is the fifth municipality in the Burgas region that our Youth centre has visited, the others being Aytos, Kameno, Sredets and Rouen.
