The organizers
are adding a new destination to the festival of Korean language and culture
this year. It is the newest youth space in Burgas – the Youth International
Center in Meden Rudnik. The program includes interesting events that add new
details to the festival and will delight lovers of Korean culture in our
country. Here is what’s coming up:

Workshop “Traditional korean folk art MINHWA” – painting with acrylic
paint on canvas

K-POP dance workshop – group “Toxic” Svetlin Valkov, Kristiyan
Vasilev. This year we invite students and parents to join in together, if they
desired! The idea is children and parents to have fun together in one place and to share
unforgettable experiences in dynamic rhythm and unique choreography of K-POP
dances. The first 20 people to sign up will receive an eco-friendly bag
with Korean inscriptions!
11:00 ~ 13:00
Workshop: Hangeul, Korean Writing System with instructor Sumi Kim.
Hangeul is the writing system that is the most optimal for digital
technologies. Participants will have the opportunity to decorate lanterns with
their favourite words in Korean! The first 30 people to sign up will receive
T-shirt with Hangeul inscription.

Tasting korean cookies and presentation of the program “Korean language
and culture in Burgas”.
14:00 ~ 16:00
Calligraphy workshop
A wonderful workshop for everyone seeking digital detox from social media. We
will demonstrate how easy it is to write korean letters and popular words like
“love,” “friendship,” “river,”
“mountain,” “spring,” “smile,” and more.
Participants will be able to decorate a lantern, which they can keep as a
souvenir!

The event “Days of Korea” have been organized since 2018
with the support of the Municipality of Burgas, the Embassy of the Republic of
Korea in Sofia and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea. This
year’s festival is being realized with the support of the Regional library
“Peyo Yavorov,” the Sea Casino and The International Youth Center –
Burgas.
