The second edition of the Youth job fair was a success

The second edition of the Youth job fair was held with great success at the International Youth Center – Burgas, bringing together representatives of businesses, institutions, and numerous young people eager to take first steps toward professional development. The event provided a valuable opportunity for direct dialogue between young people who are seeking jobs and their potential future employers.

The program began with a panel discussion, where key topics related to the current labor market situation were addressed. These included the challenges of finding qualified candidates, the skills and competencies needed for successful labor market integration, the future of work models and the opportunities available to youth with no professional experience.

Business representatives shared valuable practical experience and offered advice to the young participants. The youth responded with genuine interest, asking questions on topics that concerned them – from training and qualifications to employment opportunities.

As part of the event program, the short film “I Remember”, created by the talented youth collective Alternative Monday, was screened. The film inspired many of the attendees with creative interests to pursue and realize their dreams.

Following the screening, the exhibition part of the event took place. The young participants had the chance to visit the stands of various organizations and companies. Among the participants were the Burgas Labor Office, Municipal Enterprises “Tourism” and “Clean Eco,” the Museum of aviation – Burgas, Regional Information Center – Burgas, the Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation, Europe Direct, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Fraport Twin Star Airport Management, RecruityTalent, Metinvest, Elkabel, ET Dars, Libra Group, ORBIS Digital Services, Sutherland, LIDL, Standard and Artistic Youthfest Burgas.

The youth learned about each organization’s work, the open job positions and the profiles of the candidates they were looking for. In addition, consultations were provided on how to write a CV, prepare for interviews and present themselves successfully to potential employers.

One of the most engaging parts of the event was the interactive workshop led by human resources specialist Zvezda Yordanova. She introduced the young participants to the LinkedIn platform and emphasized its importance in building a professional online portfolio – a crucial step for every young person aiming to stand out to employers and build a career in today’s dynamic labor market.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the representatives of institutions, organizations and companies, as well as to the active young participants who made this event possible.
