The youth labour exchange at the International Youth Center – Burgas gave the opportunity to young people, who are looking for career opportunities and professional development, to orientate themselves in their professional path.
Partners of the event were recognizable brands at the local, national and global level, such as #LIDL, #Fraport, #Sutherland, #Metinvest, #EuropeDirect, #Burgas Chamber of Commerce and Industry, #Museum of Aviation – Burgas, #National Employment Agency, #Ministry of labor and social policy. They presented their companies, job vacancies and summer internship opportunities.
Within the framework of the event, a number of workshops and lectures were organized. The topics were: professional development and goal setting, creating a job resume, writing a cover letter, preparing for an interview, implementation in the non-governmental sector. Experts and professionals participated in the events, sharing their knowledge and experience, and providing valuable advice to teenagers.
In terms of creating a job resume and cover letter, the youth workers took on the role of mentors and guided the young people in using the #EUROPASS platform.
Regarding job interviews, the participants immersed themselves in the atmosphere of this key element of the career process. A recruitment experts joined the workshop, providing valuable information related to successful career implementation.
The concluding phase of the event provided an opportunity to apply what was learned in the thematic workshops, empowering the young people to take on the role of human resources specialists and conduct job interviews. After the role-play conversations, the feedback was positive and promising.
The event provided a reliable platform for communication, as the young people established new connections with potential employers, professionals and mentors, which will benefit their future career development and success.
